Kugo fields under the jurisdiction of the Oinaryo of the Imperial Household Ministry. The Taiho Code stipulated that "kugo-zo food fields" were named "mita" (mita) and distributed within the Kinai region, with the Imperial Household Ministry dispatching mitoshi (mita officers) to manage them, but the Yoro Code changed the names to "kanden" (official fields) and "taji" (field officers), and stipulated that 30 cho each were to be placed in Yamato and Settsu provinces, and 20 cho each in Kawachi and Yamashiro provinces, for a total of 100 cho of official fields. After the capital was moved to Heian, the system of the Engishiki stipulated that 86 cho of official fields were to be allocated, including 20 cho in Yamashiro, 16 cho in Yamato, 18 cho in Kawachi, 2 cho in Izumi, and 30 cho in Settsu, and that these were to be divided into 46 cho of national fields and 40 cho of provincial fields, and that the rice, millet, and glutinous rice to be offered to the Emperor and the annual allowances of the Empress and the Crown Prince were to be provided from the harvest of the fields managed by the Imperial Household Ministry.

宮内省大炊寮の所管する供御（くご）田。大宝令では，〈供御造食料田〉を屯田（みた）と名づけて畿内に分置し，宮内省より屯司を差遣して営造に当たらせると定めたが，養老令では，官田･田司と改称し，大和･摂津両国に各30町，河内･山背両国に各20町，計100町の官田を置くと定めた。ついで平安遷都後，《延喜式》の制では，山城20町，大和16町，河内18町，和泉2町，摂津30町，計86町の官田を配置し，それを国営田46町と省営田40町に分けて，天皇の供御および中宮･東宮の年料の稲･粟･糯は宮内省営田の収穫をもって充てることとした。
