This is a record written by Myozei, the abbot of Honpuku-ji Temple in Katata, Omi, in the first half of the 16th century. The temple has four records that were written successively during the Tenbun era (1532-55). These are the Honpuku-ji Myozei Traces by the 5th abbot Myozei, the Honpuku-ji Yuraiki and Honpuku-ji Monto-ki by the 6th abbot Myozei, and this Trace. The Traces were created by adding to and supplementing the diary and the Yuraiki. The records include the process of the formation of Honpuku-ji Temple and its followers since the beginning of the 15th century, the contributions made to Hongan-ji Temple and their activities in the Ikko-ikki uprising, and the downfall of Honpuku-ji Temple itself due to the oppression of the abbots.
