…In 1904, he took over as head of the family, and in 1906, as president of Kurashiki Spinning, he worked to improve the working conditions and welfare of factory workers. At the same time, he was appointed president and director of Kurashiki Silk Weaving, Mitoyo Spinning, Nippon Matryo, Kurashiki Electric Light, Chugoku Joint Hydroelectric Power, Chugoku Bank, Okayama Joint Savings Bank, Chugoku Trust, Keihan Electric Railway, and others, and worked hard to promote industry in Okayama Prefecture, and was also an important figure in the Kansai financial world.
