Record of the Imperial Inheritance of Japan - Honcho Koinjounroku
A genealogy of the Imperial family since the Age of the Gods. It is believed to have been compiled around 1426 by Toin Mitsusue, the adopted son of Toin Kinsada, the editor of Sonpi Bunmyaku, under imperial command, and the title is thought to have been modeled after the Chinese Song Dynasty's Rekidai Teio Shaounzu. Initially, it was limited to the period up to Emperor Shoko, but Sanjonishi Sanetaka continued it, and it was expanded until modern times. It lists the lineage of successive imperial descendants since Kuninotokotachi no Mikoto (Kuninotokotachi no Mikoto) in the Age of the Gods, and includes brief biographies. It is considered to be the most reliable Imperial family genealogy, as it is also included in the genealogy section of the large Edo period collection Gunsho Ruiju.
