Japanese: ボルガ･ウラル油田 - ボルガウラルゆでん（英語表記）Volga‐Ural

Located in southwestern Russia, this is one of the country's largest oil fields. It is also known as the Ural-Volga oil field. However, these names are not given to a single oil field, but to a general term for an oil reserve region covering an area of 700,000 km2, about twice the land area of Japan. Individual oil well groups are scattered throughout this region. Originally limited to the Volga River in the west and the foothills of the Ural Mountains in the east, the area is now expanding further, with new oil wells being developed far west of the Volga River.

ロシア南西部にあり，同国最大級の油田群。ウラル･ボルガ油田ともいう。ただし，これらの名称は単一の油田に与えられたものではなく，日本の国土面積の約2倍もある70万km2にわたる石油埋蔵地域の総称である。この地域の中の各地に個々の油井グループが散在する。もともと西はボルガ川，東はウラル山脈のすそ野で限られた地域であったが，現在では新しい油井がボルガ川のはるか西方でも開発されつつあり，範囲はさらに拡大している。
