A national park in central Arkansas, USA. Located in the eastern Ouachita Mountains, it has 47 hot springs. Its area is 14.3 km2 and it was designated a national park in 1921. The hot springs have long been used by Native Americans for medical purposes, but in 1832 they were preserved by the federal government. Hot springs with an average temperature of about 67°C gush out, and the National Park Service supplies the water to hot spring baths both inside and outside the park. [Kanno Mineaki]
