Olympic flag - Olympicki (English spelling) Olympic flag
During the Olympic Games, this flag is hoisted on the main pole in the stadium, and is also displayed in large numbers around the stadium and among the flags of participating countries. It is hoisted when the opening ceremony is declared, and lowered at the end of the closing ceremony. The flag has no border on a white background, and the Olympic symbol is made up of five rings, blue, yellow, black, green, and red, starting from the top left corner and closest to the flagpole. In 1914, at the IOC's 20th anniversary ceremony, Pierre de Coubertin unveiled his own flag, which he had made at the Bon Marché department store in Paris, and it was hoisted at the ceremony venue on June 15th. It was hoisted at the 7th Antwerp Olympic Games in 1920, and has been used by every Olympic host city since.
