Telescopium (the constellation of the telescope)

Japanese: ぼうえんきょう座(望遠鏡座) - ぼうえんきょうざ（英語表記）Telescopium

Its abbreviation is Tel. It is a small southern constellation that can be seen low down near the horizon in early autumn. In Japan, it is partially hidden below the horizon. It was newly established by French astronomer NL Lacaille, and is one of 14 southern constellations named after newly invented instruments at the time. Lacaille's original drawing shows a long-focus refracting telescope. It has no bright stars. Its approximate position is 19h0m in right ascension and -52° in declination. It reaches its highest point in the sky at 8pm in early September. [Ishida Goro]
