Born: February 1, 1690, Florence [Died] c. 1750. Italian composer and violinist from Pisa. Studied under his uncle Antonio, Casini, and Gasparini. In 1714, he competed in a violin contest against Tartini in Venice and won. He was active in London, Dresden, Prague, and other places. His works include 24 violin sonatas.
