The sexiest heroine in the history of American short cartoon film series. Created in 1915 by M. Fleischer (the Fleischer Brothers) using the face of popular singer Helen Kane as a model. She became a sex symbol in cartoon films of the 1930s, distributing erotic and sometimes slightly grotesque laughs. Voiced by Mae Questel, her boop-doop-a-doop way of speaking became popular. Many short films, including "Betty's Snow White" and "Betty Runs Away."
