The name of the head of the Yamada school of koto music. Currently in its second generation, it is the third since the founder's teacher, Masako Okumura (1841-91). [Keiko Hirayama] First World(1869-1933) His real name was Kotaro. He became blind at the age of three. At the age of nine, he became a disciple of Asai Chizuka, a female disciple of Chiyoda Kengyo of the Yamada school. At the age of 21, he studied under Okumura Masako. He composed works such as "Spring Morning" and "Season of the Village." [Keiko Hirayama] II(1903-96) Her real name was Tokiko Hayashi. She was the daughter of the founder. After her father's death, she took over as the second head. She conveys the correct tradition of Yamada-ryu Jorurimono. In 1970, she was recognized as a holder of an Important Intangible Cultural Property, and in 1983, she became a member of the Japan Art Academy.
