Ocean Transport & Trading is a shipping company that is the core of Ocean Transport & Trading Group, one of the major British shipping groups. It began as Ocean Steam Ship Company, which was founded in Liverpool by Alfred Holt in 1865, and has since developed into one of the UK's major liner shipping companies. The name Blue Funnel came from the deep blue color of the funnels of the company's ships.
