Kimhae Kara (English spelling)

Kimhae Kara (English spelling)
A powerful state among the ancient Gaya states of Korea. Also known as Geumgwan Gaya, Daegaya, Kuya Kingdom, Gaya Korea, Garak Kingdom, Mimana Gaya, and Mimana. Centered in present-day Gimhae County, South Gyeongsang Province, Gimhae-eup, the site of the royal capital, has many ruins and was developed from early times. In the 3rd century, it flourished as a key point of maritime traffic for the Han people, Wajin countries, and the Lelang and Daifang counties. In 400, it was a powerful state that was the main target of attacks by the Goguryeo army that moved south. Japanese academic circles believe that the Mimana Nihonfu, the base for the Yamato court's advance into Korea, was established here after the 4th century, but no documents, ruins, or artifacts have yet been found to prove this.
