Blue Collar

Japanese:
Blue Collar
Blue collar workers
-It refers to workers who use their physical bodies in production work.
-The origin of the term blue-collar is said to be due to the fact that the collars of the uniforms and work clothes worn by workers engaged in physical labor were blue in color.
- Compared to white-collar workers who work in the administrative departments of companies and mainly handle planning and management tasks, the work environment of blue-collar workers is generally physically demanding and harsh, and the incidence of work-related accidents directly caused by the work is also higher.
-Wage levels also tend to be lower than those of white-collar workers, and the image of blue-collar workers being of a lower status than white-collar workers has been established.
However, with improvements in working conditions at production sites, as well as the increasing use of high-tech and sophisticated technology, the image of blue-collar workers at production sites is beginning to change.

Japanese:
・blue collar workers
