Born: March 31, 1909, Perpignan, Pyrenees-Orientales
[Died] 6 February 1945, Montrouge, Seine. French novelist and critic. After graduating from the École Normale Supérieure (Higher Normal School), he joined the royalist movement Action Française. During World War II, he supported fascism and cooperated with the German occupying forces, and was executed by firing squad after the war. His novels include Le Voleur d'étincelles (1932), Comme le temps passe (37), Les Sept couleurs (39), and essays Présence de Virgile (31), and Notre Avant-Guerre (41).
