A scholar of the Vaisheshika school in India, circa 450-500. He wrote a commentary on the Vaisheshika sutra, the fundamental text of the school, entitled Padārthadharma-saṅgraha (Outline of Principles and Laws), also known as Praśastapāda-bhāṣya.
