Wu-yong-zhong (Dance Mound)

Japanese: 舞踊塚 - ぶようづか（英語表記）Wu-yong-zhong

A Goguryeo mural tomb in Ji'an County, Jilin Province, China. It is a square sealed-earth tomb with two stone chambers, one at the front and one at the back. The back wall of the back chamber is painted with a scene of a feast with the main character at the center, the right wall with a kitchen and people on horseback, and a group of men and women dancing (from which the tomb is named), the left wall with a scene of hunting in the mountains, and the front chamber with people and buildings. The ceiling is also painted with lotus patterns, the sun, moon, and stars, and the entire chamber is filled with murals. Among the many Goguryeo mural tombs, this is an outstanding tomb that gives us a good insight into the customs of Goguryeo.

中国，吉林省集安県にある高句麗の壁画古墳。方形の封土墳で，前後2室から成る石室がある。後室奥壁に主人公を中心とする供餐図が描かれているのをはじめとし，右壁に厨房や騎馬人物の図，男女群舞の図 (この古墳の名の由来となった) ，左壁には山野における狩猟図，前室では人物や建物が描かれていた。また天井部にも蓮花文，日月，星宿などが描かれるなど，石室全体が壁画で埋めつくされている。数多くの高句麗壁画古墳中，高句麗の風俗をよく知ることのできる，傑出した古墳といえる。
