[Jirin (1907 edition)] *Kanmimimoku (1908) <Shibukawa Genji> Miyakodori and legal issues "It is a matter that can be understood immediately if you consider what the legal subject and object (kyakutai) are." [Additional note] "Objective" refers to the object toward which the cognitive function is primarily directed, and "object" refers to the object toward which action is primarily directed.

きゃく‐たい【客体】

〘名〙主体の意志や行為の対象となる物。意志や行為が及ぶ目的物。かくたい。⇔主体。〔辞林（明治四〇年版）（1907）〕※閑耳目（1908）〈渋川玄耳〉都鳥と法律問題「法律上の主体客体(キャクタイ)如何の事に考を及ぼせば直く了解する問題なり」[補注]「客観」は主に認識作用が向けられる対象をいい、「客体」は主に行動が向けられる対象をいう。
