Aspartate aminotransferase

[EC2.6.1.1]. Also known as glutamate-oxaloacetate transaminase. An enzyme that catalyzes the reversible reaction of transferring the amino group of aspartic acid to 2-oxoglutarate and the amino group of glutamic acid to oxaloacetate. Requires pyridoxal phosphate. It increases rapidly in the blood in cases of hepatitis, serious injury, etc. In recent years, it is often referred to as AST in clinical tests. ［EC2.6.1.1］．グルタミン酸-オキサロ酢酸トランスアミナーゼともいう．アスパラギン酸のアミノ基を2-オキソグルタル酸に転移し，グルタミン酸のアミノ基をオキサロ酢酸に転移する可逆反応を触媒する酵素．ピリドキサールリン酸を必要とする．肝炎，重傷などの場合に血中に急増する．近年臨床検査ではASTとする場合が多い．
