Nose Myoken

Japanese: 能勢妙見 - のせみょうけん

Myokendo, belonging to the Nichiren sect Shinnyoji Temple in Nose Town, Osaka Prefecture. Located at the summit of Mt. Myoken, 660 meters above sea level, it is said to have begun in 1028 when Nose Yorichika enshrined Myoken Bodhisattva as the guardian Buddha. During the Edo period, the Nichiren sect established Myoken faith, and it spread, with believers of other sects also visiting the temple, calling it the Hyakunichi Hokke. The view from the summit is excellent, and the Nose Electric Railway and cable car are accessible.

大阪府能勢町の日蓮宗真如寺に属する妙見堂。標高660mの妙見山頂にあり，1028年能勢頼国が守護仏として妙見菩薩をまつったのに始まるという。江戸時代日蓮宗となって妙見信仰が広まり，百日法華と称して他宗の信者も参拝した。山頂からの展望にすぐれ，能勢電鉄，ケーブルカーが通じる。
