Myokendo, belonging to the Nichiren sect Shinnyoji Temple in Nose Town, Osaka Prefecture. Located at the summit of Mt. Myoken, 660 meters above sea level, it is said to have begun in 1028 when Nose Yorichika enshrined Myoken Bodhisattva as the guardian Buddha. During the Edo period, the Nichiren sect established Myoken faith, and it spread, with believers of other sects also visiting the temple, calling it the Hyakunichi Hokke.
