Hmannan Yazawin

Japanese: フマンナン･ヤーザウィン（英語表記）Hmannan Yazawin

This is an imperial chronicle written in Burmese and compiled by royal order of King Bagyidaw (reigned 1819-37) of the Konbaung dynasty of Burma. It was compiled by 13 people, including learned monks such as Abbot Monyue and Abbot Tokabin, Brahmins, and ministers, and was started in 1829 and completed in 1832. Its official name is Hmannan Mahayazawindawgyi (History of the Great Royal Lineage of the Glass Palace). It describes in a narrative style the rise and fall of Burmese dynasties, starting with the creation of the universe and the emergence of humankind, until the reign of King Bagyidaw in 1821, with various anecdotes.

コンバウン朝ビルマのバジードー王(在位1819‐37)の勅命で編纂されたビルマ語の欽定年代記。編纂者はモンユエ僧正，トーカビン僧正など有識の僧侶，バラモン，大臣など13人で，1829年に編纂を開始し32年に完成した。正式には《フマンナン･マハーヤーザウィンドージー(玻璃王宮御大王統史)》と呼ばれる。内容は宇宙開闢，人類出現に始まり，バジードー王の治世1821年までのビルマ諸王朝の栄枯盛衰が，さまざまな挿話を交えて物語風に記述されている。
