Born on September 7, 1893. Joined the Ministry of Home Affairs in 1920 and was involved in urban planning for Nagoya City. Became an engineer for Tokyo Metropolitan Government in 1943 and contributed to the postwar development of the capital region. Became Director of the Construction Bureau in 1948. Later became a professor at Waseda University. President of the City Planning Association of Japan. Died on September 25, 1955. Age 62. Born in Yamagata Prefecture.
