Booster - Booster (English spelling)

Booster - Booster (English spelling)

A rocket that generates a large thrust to take off and ascend, such as the first stage of a multi-stage rocket or a booster rocket to boost thrust. In a broader interpretation, all stages of a multi-stage rocket can be collectively called a booster that launches artificial satellites and spacecraft. Since a large thrust is the basic requirement of a booster, the rockets used for this purpose are currently limited to solid or liquid rockets, and there are no practical examples of non-chemical rockets.
