Fujingaho - Fujingaho

Japanese:
Fujingaho - Fujingaho

A monthly women's magazine published by Fujingahosha. L-size. Kinjigahosha was founded in July 1905 (Meiji 38), and its first editor-in-chief was Kunikida Doppo. As the name "Gaho" suggests, the magazine's selling point was visually appealing photographic editions. The following year, Doppo established Dopposha and took over the management, and after his death, it was taken over by Tokyosha. It was temporarily renamed "Toyo Fujingaho" and was merged with the youth magazine "Senji Josei" in May 1944 (Showa 19) at the end of the Pacific War, but was republished in October of the following year after Japan's defeat. It is said to be edited to target readers who are married women with good taste. In 1999 (Heisei 11), Fujingahosha merged with Hachette Filipacchi Japan to become Hachette Fujingahosha.
