A perennial carnivorous plant of one genus and one species in the family Psaccaceae that lays its head-shaped insect sac on the ground surface and catches small animals in a pitfall-like manner (illustration). A species endemic to Western Australia. The stem does not grow above ground, but branches and develops underground, measuring 3-30 cm long and 3-4 mm in diameter. The leaves develop in a rosette shape, with lanceolate or circular blades 1-4 cm long, 0.5-2.5 cm wide, and covered with long soft hairs. The petiole is 0.5-2.5 cm long.
