A scholar and civil servant in the late Yi Dynasty of Korea. His pen names were Hyepoong and Hyebo, and his pen names were Reijae, Reiam, and Koueidang. He was a man of culture from Hwanghae Province. In 1778, he traveled to Qing with Pak Jae-ga as an attendant to Chae Je-gong, the governor of Yan, and after returning to Korea, he was appointed as an examiner of documents at the Kyujanggak together with Pak Jae-ga, Yi Deok-bo, and Seo Ri-soo. He belonged to the Northern School of Practical Learning, and his work "Balhae Study" (1784), which attempted to position Balhae in Korean history, is particularly noteworthy as a pioneering work in the study of Balhae history. His collection of writings includes "Balhae Study," entitled "Balhae Study."

朝鮮，李朝後期の学者，文臣。字は恵風，恵甫，号は冷斎，冷庵，古芸（こうん）堂。黄海道，文化の人。1778年燕行使蔡済恭の随員として朴斉家とともに清に赴き，帰国後，朴斉家，李徳懋（とくぼう），徐理修とともに奎章閣（けいしようかく）の検書に登用された。実学の北学派に属したが，特に渤海を朝鮮史上に位置付けようとした《渤海考》(1784)は，渤海史研究の先駆的なものとして注目される。文集にこの《渤海考》を含む《冷斎集》がある。
