Japanese: ブーグ[川](英語表記)Bug
Bug (river)
A river that flows through western Ukraine, straddling Belarus and Poland. Also known as the Zapadnyi Bug. It originates in the Podolsk Hills in Ukraine, flows northwest, descends the Lublin Uplands and the western edge of Podrasie, and flows west to join the Vistula near Warsaw. It is 831 km long and has a drainage area of 73,470 km2, making it the largest tributary of the Vistula. Most of the middle reaches of the river form the Curzon Line, which forms the border between Ukraine and Poland (about 320 km).

Bug [river] [Bug]

A river in southern Ukraine. Also known as the Yuzhnyi Bug. In ancient Greece it was called the Hypanis. It is 806 km long and has a drainage area of 63,700 km2. It starts on the slopes of the Volino-Podolsk hills at an altitude of about 300 m, flows southeastward with several tributaries, and empties into the Dnieper Bug Bay on the northern coast of the Black Sea. In the upper reaches there are alternating rapids and gentle currents, and for the 70 km downstream from Pervomaisk there are steep cliffs on both sides of 100 m high, forming a gorge.
