[1] A place name in the western part of Koto Ward, Tokyo. It is a low-lying marshland on the left bank of the Sumida River between Sendai Horikawa and Horikawa. Along with the neighboring Monzen-Nakacho and Tomioka, it developed as a temple town for Tomioka Hachimangu Shrine after the Great Fire of Meireki ( 1657 ). During the An'ei and Tenmei eras ( 1772-1789 ), Fukagawa pleasure quarters flourished. It was named after the town that was developed by Fukagawa Hachiroemon, a native of Settsu Province (Osaka Prefecture) during the Keicho era ( 1596-1615 ). [2] One of the 35 wards of the former Tokyo City. It was established in 1878 when the Tokyo Prefecture's 15-ward system was launched. In 1879, it was incorporated into Tokyo City when the city system was enacted. In 1947 , it merged with Joto Ward to become part of Koto Ward. [3] A place name in the central part of Hokkaido. It is located at the northern end of the Ishikari Plain. The Ishikari River runs through it. The city developed with the establishment of the Tondenhei Village in 1895. It is one of the leading rice-producing areas in Hokkaido, and apples are also grown there. There are factories for wood processing, ceramics, and food products. The city was incorporated in 1963. [一] 東京都江東区西部の地名。仙台堀川と堀川にはさまれた隅田川左岸の低湿地で、隣接する門前仲町・富岡とともに、明暦の大火(一六五七)以後、富岡八幡宮の門前町として発達。安永・天明年間(一七七二‐八九)には深川遊里が栄えた。慶長年間(一五九六‐一六一五)摂津国(大阪府)の人、深川八郎右衛門によって開発されたところから呼ばれる。[二] 旧東京市三五区の一つ。明治一一年(一八七八)東京府一五区制の発足により成立。同二二年、東京市の市制施行とともに東京市に編入された。昭和二二年(一九四七)城東区と合併して江東区の一部となる。[三] 北海道中央部の地名。石狩平野の北端部にある。石狩川が貫流。明治二八年(一八九五)屯田兵村の開設によって発展。道有数の米作地で、リンゴの栽培も行なわれる。木材加工・窯業・食料品などの工場がある。昭和三八年(一九六三)市制。[四] 俳諧撰集。一冊。洒堂(しゃどう)編。元祿六年(一六九三)刊。洒堂が深川の芭蕉庵に滞在した折の記念集。「軽み」を代表する一集として高い評価を得た。
