〘Noun〙 (Rhythm of "inen")① A Buddhist term. Cause is the direct internal cause that brings about a result, and condition is the indirect cause that helps it from the outside. Buddhism teaches that all birth and death are due to these two forces. ※Hokke Gishu (Commentary on the Lotus Sutra) (early 7th century), Expedient Means Chapter: "Following the Parable of the Transformed City Chapter 1 , the following chapters are followed by the Teachings of the Unlearned Chapter 1 , Enlightenment , Causal Conditions of the Predestined World, Wide Opening, and Revealing."② A Buddhist term.
