A needle is a tool used to sew together leather or cloth with thread to make clothing. It is also used as a pin to fasten things together, but here we will mainly focus on sewing needles.
[History]
Sewing needles appeared in the late Paleolithic period and are thought to have been invented by Homo sapiens, who lived a hunter-gatherer lifestyle in various parts of northern Eurasia during the cold environment of the Würm Glacial Stage, the last period of the Pleistocene Epoch, as they improved leather clothing to protect against the cold.
