The ruins of a Khmer temple in Phimai, 270 km northeast of Bangkok in central-eastern Thailand. It is commonly known as "Thailand's Angkor Wat." It was built in the 11th century during the reign of King Suryavarman I of the Angkor Dynasty. The temple, built of piled-up sandstone and laterite blocks, has an entrance facing south, and the outermost earthen wall is a square 520m x 280m, inside which is a square 128m x 100m red sandstone enclosure wall. Inside the enclosure wall is a sandstone corridor (72m x 50m), and a central tower stands in the center of this square corridor.

タイ中東部，バンコクの北東270kmのピマーイPhimaiにあるクメール寺院の遺跡。〈タイのアンコール･ワット〉と俗称される。アンコール朝の11世紀，スールヤバルマン1世の治世に建てられた。砂岩製ブロックとラテライト(紅土)製ブロックを積み上げてできているこの寺院は，入口を南に向け，一番外側の土壁は方形で520m×280mあり，その内部には方形で128m×100mの赤色砂岩製の囲壁がある。囲壁の内部に砂岩製の回廊(72m×50m)が設けられ，この方形の回廊の内部中央に中央塔堂がそびえ立つ。
