Bignon

Bignon
A copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate developed by the American Viscose Company in the United States. It is a synthetic fiber that appeared after nylon in 1939. It is used for fishing nets because of its good water resistance, and for filter pads because of its high chemical resistance.
