Microroids

...A group of venomous snakes of the Elapidae family with beautiful stripes and strong neurotoxins. The Micrurus genus (illustration), which includes the majority of coral snakes, about 48 species, is found in the tropical regions of Central and South America, and the Arizona Micruroides genus is found in the United States and Mexico. They are small and slender, with a total length of 50 to 100 cm, with the largest being about 120 cm.
