A type of printing method that does not use pressure (printing pressure). Printing is done by ejecting fine ink droplets from a nozzle and striking them on the printing paper to form a dot pattern. The printing position is moved by either moving the print head, which is centered around the nozzle, horizontally, or by fixing the head and wrapping the paper around a drum and rotating it. Depending on the method of controlling the ink droplets, there are charge control methods and on-demand methods. In the former, ink droplets are continuously ejected while being charged in response to a signal pulse, passed between deflection electrodes and struck at a specified position on the paper, and unwanted particles are collected in a collector called a gutter, forming a dot matrix on the paper.
