Japanese: 久居[市] - ひさい

An old city in the north of Mie prefecture. Established as a city in 1970. Located in the center of the Ise Plain, the west continues into the Nunobiki Mountains. Hisai, the center of the city, developed from a castle town of the Todo clan, a branch of the Tsu domain, and is served by the Kintetsu Nagoya Line and the Ise Expressway. Ichishi rice is produced here, and sake brewing is also carried out. Local industries include towel and roof tile manufacturing. From around 1980, Tsu city began to develop into a residential suburb, and the Togi Industrial Park, centered on the aluminum industry, was developed. Sakakibara Onsen is located here. In January 2006, Kawage Town, Geino Town, Ano Town, Misato Village in Aki District, Ichishi Town in Ichishi District, Karasu Town, Hakusan Town, and Misugi Village were incorporated into Tsu City. ^{68.20 km2} . 三重県北部の旧市。1970年市制。伊勢平野中央部にあり，西部は布引山地へ続く。中心の久居は津藩の支藩藤堂氏の城下町から発達，近鉄名古屋線，伊勢自動車道が通じる。一志米の産地で，酒造も行われる。地場産業にタオルと瓦の製造がある。1980年ごろから津市の近郊住宅地化が進み，アルミ産業を中心とする戸木工業団地も造成された。榊原(さかきばら)温泉がある。2006年１月安芸郡河芸町，芸濃町，安濃町，美里村，一志郡一志町，香良洲町，白山町，美杉村と津市へ編入。68.20km²。４万328人（2003）。
