A town in Kamikawa District, central Hokkaido. It borders the southern side of Asahikawa City. The bottom of the Kamikawa Basin and the lowlands along the Chubetu River are rice paddy fields. Chinese chives, green asparagus, and Japanese honewort are also produced here. Asahikawa Airport is located here. Area: 68.50 km2 .
