A prostitute who appears in the Chinese novel "Water Margin," she is killed by her late husband's younger brother Wu Song when her adultery and murder of her husband are discovered, but she appears as the female protagonist in the novel "Jin Ping Mei." Even after becoming Ximen Qing's fifth wife, she is portrayed as a naturally evil woman who indulges in lust. After Ximen Qing's death, she has an affair with Ximen Qing's husband, is banished from the Ximen family, and is brutally murdered by Wu Song.
