Iwashimizu

Japanese: 岩清水 - いわしみず

Sake from Nagano. The name of the sake comes from the fact that clear water springs from Iwafune, where the third-generation brewer was born. They offer a mellow daiginjo sake and a light, dry honjozo sake. The rice used is Yamada Nishiki and Shirakabanishiki. The brewing water is from underground water in the Izawa River system. The brewery, Igaya Sake Brewery, was founded in 1853. It is located in Nakano, Nakano City.

長野の日本酒。酒名は、三代目蔵元の生家があった岩舟に清水が湧いていたことに由来。芳醇タイプの大吟醸酒、淡麗辛口の本醸造酒などがある。原料米は山田錦、しらかば錦など。仕込み水は伊沢川水系の伏流水。蔵元の「井賀屋酒造場」は嘉永6年(1853)創業。所在地は中野市大字中野。
