Bnam

...An ancient kingdom of the Khmer people that existed in the Mekong Delta region of Cambodia from around the 1st century to the first half of the 7th century. It was a country that arose under the influence of Indian culture, and the country's name Funan is said to be a Chinese transliteration of the local pronunciation, Bnam (meaning mountain). Historical inscriptions tell us that the Brahmin Kaungdinya came to Japan, married the daughter of Tu Hou, Soma, and founded the country.
