Located in the northwest of Cuba, in Matanzas Province, on the Hicacos Peninsula, this is Cuba's largest tourist and health resort. Since the 1930s, American villas have been built here one after another, but they were confiscated by the government during the Cuban Revolution. Later, tourism development by European capital progressed. Source: About Shogakukan Digital Daijisen Information | Legend |
