1942- Hungarian alto singer. Graduated from the Academy of Music in Budapest. In 1966, she was appointed by K. Richter to sing Bach's St. Matthew Passion, and around the same time she sang Brahms' Alto Rhapsody in Rome, which made her name known in the music world. Since signing a contract with the Dusseldorf Opera House in 1973, she has also been active in the field of opera. She has a wide repertoire ranging from baroque to contemporary music.
