Sadachika Nabeyama

Japanese: 鍋山貞親 - なべやまさだちか

Social activist. Born in Fukuoka Prefecture. After being involved in labor movements such as the Yuaikai Association, he joined the Japanese Communist Party in 1922, and served as a member of the Osaka Federation of the Japanese Labour Confederation. After the formation of the Japanese Trade Union Council in 1925, he served as a central committee member and education director, and was active as a left-wing leader, leading the Nippon Gakki strike. He was arrested in the April 16 Incident in 1929 and sentenced to life imprisonment in 1932, but declared his conversion in 1933. He was pardoned and released in 1940, and was in Beijing until the end of the war. In 1946, he founded the World Democratic Institute and developed anti-communist theories.

社会運動家。福岡県出身。友愛会などの労働運動を経て1922年日本共産党に入党，日本労働総同盟大阪連合会委員，1925年日本労働組合評議会結成後は中央委員・教育部長を歴任し，日本楽器争議を指導するなど左派の指導者として活動。1929年の四・一六事件で検挙され1932年無期懲役の判決を受け，1933年転向声明。1940年恩赦で出獄後北京で終戦を迎え，1946年世界民主研究所を設立し，反共理論を展開した。
