Panel heating

Radiant heating. A heating method in which hot water is passed through pipes embedded in the ceiling, walls, or floor, or hot air or electric heating wires are used to heat these surfaces, and the room is then warmed by radiation. It is a modern version of the North European stove, the Chinese kang, and the Korean ondol. Small, factory-made panels heated electrically are also commercially available as panel heaters.

放射暖房のこと。天井，壁，床などにパイプを埋込んで温水を通し，または温風，電熱線を利用して，これらの表面を加熱して，それからの放射によって室内を暖める暖房法。北ヨーロッパのペチカ，中国のカン，朝鮮のオンドルなどを近代化したもの。電熱で加熱される小型の工場生産パネルもパネルヒーターと称して市販されている。
