Hakka Pass - Hakka Pass

A pass on the border between Kazuno City and Kosaka Town in Kazuno County in northeastern Akita Prefecture. It is 631 meters above sea level. It is located in the southern part of the somma of Lake Towada, and the view of Lake Towada from here is wonderful. The two peninsulas of Ogura and Nakayama extend onto the lake surface, and the dome of Ogurayama (690 meters) casts its shadow on the lake water. On the route from Towada-Minami Station on the JR Hanawa Line to Lake Towada, a tourist road (National Route 103) winds from the pass down to Wainai on the lake shore, and then on to Yasumiya and Nenokuchi.

秋田県北東部、鹿角市(かづのし)と鹿角郡小坂町(こさかまち)の境にある峠。標高631メートル。十和田(とわだ)湖の外輪山の南部に位置し、ここからの十和田湖の眺望はすばらしい。御倉(おぐら)、中山の二半島が湖面に延び、円頂丘の御倉山（690メートル）が湖水に影を落とす。JR花輪線十和田南駅から十和田湖へのルートにあたり、峠から観光道路（国道103号）が屈曲しながら湖岸の和井内(わいない)へ下り、さらに休屋(やすみや)、子ノ口(ねのくち)へと通じている。
