Release paper

Japanese: 剝離紙 - はくりし（英語表記）release paper

Paper coated on one or both sides with a release agent such as silicone resin. Used to protect adhesive materials. Also called silicone-coated paper. Classified as miscellaneous paper A, it is made by applying a release agent such as methyl hydrogen polysiloxane or chromium stearate chloride to paper made from bleached, unbleached, or semi-bleached kraft pulp or dense paper such as glassine paper or parchment paper, and then heat-curing it. Release paper is used not only for adhesive labels, but also for packaging frozen foods and raw rubber. Release paper used in the molding process of materials that temporarily exhibit adhesive properties is called release paper, and is used in the manufacture of synthetic leather, baked foods, and decorative panels.

ケイ素樹脂などの剝離剤を片面または両面に塗った紙。粘着性物質の保護として使用する。シリコーン塗工紙ともいう。雑種紙Aに分類され，さらし，未ざらし，半ざらしクラフトパルプを原料とした紙またはグラシン紙や硫酸紙のような密な紙に，剝離剤としてメチル水素ポリシロキサンとかステアリン酸塩化クロムを塗布して熱硬化させる。剝離紙は粘着ラベルばかりでなく，冷凍食品，生ゴム包装などにも用いられる。また一時的に粘着性を示す物質の成形工程に使用する剝離紙をとくに離型紙といい，合成皮革，ベーキング食品，化粧板の製造などに用いる。
