Indian chevrotain (English spelling)

... There are three species in one genus in Asia. The Indian mouse-deer Tragulus meminna (English name: Indian chevrotain) (illustration) is distributed in India and Sri Lanka, but its body color and markings are similar to those of the water mouse-deer. However, it differs in that its belly is white all the way to the back and the tips of its ears are pointed and not rounded.
