A collection of genealogies and ancient documents compiled by the Hagi (Choshu) Domain. It was compiled by Nagata Masazumi of the domain between 1720 (Kyoho 5) and 1726. It has 170 volumes and 1 catalogue. There is also the Hagi-han Bunyoku Iro, a collection of documents that were not included in the collection during the late Edo period, in 5 volumes and 15 books. The domain also had a collection of documents called Shoka Shomonsha compiled by Sugioka Narifusa in 1665 (Kanbun 5), but during the time of the fifth domain lord, Mori Yoshimoto, there was a growing trend to compile documents and genealogies covering the entire domain, and documents dating from the Middle Ages to the early modern period that had been handed down by the Mori clan and its subordinate samurai, old families that had returned to farming, and merchants were compiled. The editor, Nagata, is a renowned historian, who subjected each document to rigorous historical research and compiled them into the "Hapakuroku." The collected documents are concentrated in the Sengoku period to the early modern period, and many of them are valuable for studying the process by which the Sengoku daimyo Mori clan developed into a modern daimyo. In addition to being held at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Library, copies are also held at the Historiographical Institute of the University of Tokyo and other institutions. The collection was published in five volumes (including one volume that was missing) from 1967 to 1971 (Showa 42-46), and was reprinted in 1979.
