Baccalauréat (English spelling)

Japanese: バカロレア（英語表記）baccalauréat

It is one of the national academic degrees in France. It certifies completion of secondary education and also qualifies for university entrance. It has a history dating back to 1808, but due to reforms in 1968, there are currently eight departments: A (Literature and Philosophy), B (Sociology and Economics), C (Mathematics and Physics), D (Mathematics and Natural History), D' (Agriculture and Technology), E (Mathematics and Technology), F (Industrial Engineer), and G (Social and Medical Engineer). In 1969, the Engineer Baccalauréat was also established. The exam used to be standardized nationwide, but now it is held by each university district.

フランスの国家学位の一つ。中等普通教育の修了資格証明であると同時に大学入学資格証明でもある。 1808年以来の歴史をもつが，1968年の改革により，現在では，A (文学・哲学) ，B (社会学・経済学) ，C (数学・物理学) ，D (数学・博物) ，D' (農学・技術) ，E (数学・技術) ，F (工業技術者) ，G (社会・医学技術者) の8学科がおかれている。また 69年からは技術者バカロレアが新設された。試験はかつては全国統一だったが，いまは大学区ごとに行われている。
