A town in Ishikawa County in the Abukuma Highlands in southern Fukushima Prefecture. Ishikawa, the center of the town, developed as a castle town and market town during the Muromachi period, and is the commercial center of the rural area, through which the Suigun Line passes. The town produces rice, vegetables, and fruit, and also raises livestock and silkworms. The town suffered damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake. Area: 115.71 km2 . Population: 17,775 (2010).
