A collection of haiku poems. Compiled by Chikashige (Ryuho). Published in 1633 (Kan'ei 10). During the editing of Enokoshu, Chikashige and his co-editor Shigeyori, who belonged to a different school of haiku and followed a different style, came into disagreement and parted ways with him. This collection of haiku was published in opposition to the collection that Shigeyori had usurped. By cutting and splicing the main text of Enokoshu, adding more verses to create a new atmosphere, and revising the verse forms and author names, Chikashige is implicitly criticizing the sloppy nature of Enokoshu. However, its significance in the history of haiku is not as great as that of Enokoshu, the first collection of haiku with similar themes.
